Youth Jury Rules
Art. 1 – Purpose
This regulation governs pursuant to Law no. 266 of 11 August 1991 (Framework Law on Volunteering) the participation of volunteers in the “Youth Jury” of the MED-LIMES International Short Film Festival “At the Borders of the Mediterranean” promoted by FONMED – “Southern Foundation for Cooperation and Development in the Mediterranean” . The participant as a volunteer declares to know and accept, for the purposes of this regulation, that the volunteering activity is free of charge and cannot provide any financial compensation.
Art. 2 – Presentation
The “Youth Jury” is a jury made up of young people up to 25 years of age, designated by FONMED as part of the fourth edition of the MED-LIMES International Short Film Festival “Ai Confini del Mediterraneo”. The young jurors, selected on the basis of this regulation, will have the opportunity to vote for the competing short films and award the “MED-LIMES, Ai Confini del Mediterraneo – Young Jury Award for best short film 2025”. The voting methods for the short films in competition are left to the jury itself according to internal regulations. The young jurors will be entitled to accreditations for reserved areas, assigned seats during the film festival and will be able to participate in exclusive events.
Art. 3 – Registration
In order to participate in the selections to be part of the “Young Jury” of the MED-LIMES International Short Film Festival “At the borders of the Mediterranean”, you must send your CV, accompanied by the Application form and release by 10 May 2025. The Foundation, in person of the legal representative, reserves the right to accept the registrations of volunteers who wish to be part of the “Youth Jury” upon indication of the names sent by external public and/or private bodies.
Art. 4 – Selection
The organization of the event will evaluate the applications received within the registration deadlines established by these regulations. The organization reserves the right to select sworn volunteers based on its needs, in relation to both the reported availability and the preferences expressed regarding the activities to be carried out. The Organization reserves the right to dedicate a limited number of places on the “Youth Jury” to organized groups, schools, educational institutions, forums or associations that explicitly request it and following a specific memorandum of understanding. The selection of all participants will be made in compliance with current privacy regulations. The Foundation in the person of the legal representative has the power to appoint and at the same time revoke the participation of the volunteer in the organization of the event if one of the points of the regulation is lacking at its sole discretion.
Art. 5 – Privacy and responsibility
The participant as a volunteer in the International Short Film Festival MED-LIMES “At the Borders of the Mediterranean”, declares to know and accept the data processing methods operated by the FONMED Foundation for the management of the Privacy published on the fonmed.it website and gives, as of now unconditional consent to the use of personal data for all initiatives connected to the event, pursuant to Legislative Decree 30 June 2003, n.196 and subsequent amendments. on the protection of privacy and the European Privacy Regulation (GDPR 2016/679) in line with the new regulations on data protection, which came into force on 25 May 2018 and subsequent amendments. The participant as a volunteer declares to know and share the aims of FONMED – “Southern Foundation for Cooperation and Development in the Mediterranean” present in the Statute published on the website fonmed.it The participant, as a volunteer, agrees to carry out the tasks assigned to him/her within the organization of the MED-LIMES exhibition “Ai Confini del Mediterraneo”. Furthermore, it accepts coordination by the staff appointed by the Management The participant as a volunteer is required to maintain appropriate and non-harmful ethical and moral behavior towards third parties in compliance with the principles of 5.3. By registering for the Exhibition, the participant implicitly accepts the art. from 1 to 6 of this regulation.
Art. 6 – Any modifications/variations
The Organization and Management of the Exhibition have the right to modify and/or rectify the rules of this regulation – including the possible cancellation of one or more sections if they do not recognize the expected conditions, making it promptly known to interested parties. For any dispute relating to the event, the competent court is the court of Salerno.
