Official Jury Rules

Art. 1 – Purpose
This regulation regulates the constitution and methods of participation of the “Official Jury” in the International Short Film Festival MED-LIMES “At the Borders of the Mediterranean”, Images and stories from the borders of the Mediterranean promoted by FONMED – “Southern Foundation for Cooperation and Development in the Mediterranean”. The event takes place on 15-16-17 May 2025 in Salerno.

Art. 2 – Presentation
The “Official Jury” is a jury made up of personalities from the world of culture, journalism, and experts in the film sector. The number of jurors varies from a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 21 members. The jurors will have the opportunity to vote for the short films in competition and award the official certificates as per art. 7 – Juries and Awards of the General Regulations. The voting methods for the short films in competition are left to the jury itself according to internal regulations. The Official Jury will be responsible for awarding the following certificates

“MED-LIMES, At the Borders of the Mediterranean – Official Jury Award for best short film 2025.
“MED-LIMES, At the Borders of the Mediterranean – Special Award Jury Certificate”.

Art. 3 – Selection
The members of the “Official Jury” will be selected according to two methods:

Through direct nomination: the members of the jury will be chosen by the President of FONMED – “Southern Foundation for Cooperation and Development in the Mediterranean”.
Through appointment by third parties: public or private bodies that pursue or have an aim/object/purpose of a social, cultural or scientific nature similar to those of FONMED and that do not fall into situations of conflict of interest of any kind with the Foundation.
The organization of the Exhibition, in the person of the President pro tempore of FONMED, reserves the right to choose for the Official Jury, personalities who share the themes and objectives of the Exhibition and in general the social, cultural and scientific aims of the Foundation. The President has the right to revoke the appointment of one and/or more jurors if he believes that the requirements are no longer met.

Art. 4 – Privacy and responsibility

The participant, as a member of the Official Jury of the International Short Film Festival MED-LIMES “Ai Confini del Mediterraneo”, declares to know and accept the data processing carried out by the FONMED Foundation for the management of the Privacy published on the fonmed.it website and gives , as of now unconditional consent to the use of personal data for all initiatives connected to the event, pursuant to Legislative Decree 30 June 2003, n.196 and subsequent amendments. on the protection of privacy and the European Privacy Regulation (GDPR 2016/679), in line with the new regulations on data protection, which came into force on 25 May 2018 and subsequent amendments.
The participant, as a member of the Official Jury, declares to know and share the statutory aims of FONMED – “Southern Foundation for Cooperation and Development in the Mediterranean” present in the Statute published on the website fonmed.it
By registering for the Exhibition, the participant as a member of the Official Jury implicitly accepts the art. from 1 to 5 of this regulation.

Art. 5 – Any modifications/variations

The Organization and Management of the Exhibition have the right to modify and/or rectify the rules of this regulation – including the possible cancellation of one or more sections if they do not recognize the expected conditions, making it promptly known to interested parties.
For any dispute relating to the event, the competent court is the court of Salerno.
